Our Energy Body

WE ARE ALL ENERGY

At the most basic unit of being, everyone and everything is assembled from Energy and our bodies process this energy via specific energy centers called Chakras.  The health of our energy centers ultimately link to the physical health of the body.

In the physical dimension there are 7 major Chakras and 21 minor chakras that all work together to balance our mental and physical selves. The seven major Chakras all reside in a vertical line central to the spine of the body however the 21 minor are distributed all over the body.

The symbolism of the moon relates to the feminine menstrual cycle that takes the same number of days to complete and the connection of the sacral chakra with sexual organs and reproduction.

The sacral chakra is the second chakra. It is particularly active in our sexuality and the expression of our sensual and sexual desires.

  • Third Eye Chakra

Key characteristics: The Third Eye symbol is associated with the element of ether (or Akasha), the sixth chakra’s symbol is dominated by the Om. The image of the Third Eye chakra symbol contains two elements frequently associated with wisdom: the upside down triangle and the lotus flower.

The sixth chakra symbol is the Om positioned over an inverted triangle that is seated within a circle between two lotus petals. Taken individually, all these elements’ meanings are representative of wisdom.

Similar to the root and throat chakra symbols, the Third Eye symbol’s upside down triangle serves a dual purpose in its symbolism. The cone-shaped geometric figure is representative of the channeling of information to the seed (or point of the triangle) from which wisdom blossoms. Similarly, if you look at the triangle from the other direction, the widening sides are indicative of the growth of one’s wisdom that leads to enlightenment.

What happens when the third chakra is imbalanced (over or under active)?

When the Third Eye chakra produces an excess of energy the mind can go into overdrive. An overactive Ajna chakra can make it difficult to concentrate and, in some cases, can induce hallucinations.

An energy deficiency can also affect your ability to concentrate on, process, and remember information. An underactive Third Eye chakra can make you indecisive, procrastinate, or become fearful of the unknown.

Symptoms of an Underactive Third-Eye Chakra

    • Poor memory. Our memory possesses the wisdom of our lived experience until this moment. Poor memory severs you from this wisdom and reduces your ability to recognize truth.

    • Difficulty guiding the mind’s eye. Focused imagination is a key function of the third eye chakra (and encompassed by dharana, the sixth limb of yoga).

    • Fixation. Also known as the inability to see a “bigger picture”. You may get lost in details, unaware of the greater scheme of things.

    Opening the Third-Eye chakra

Foster the silence of the mind, whether it’s through meditation, just sitting calmly in nature, or being absorbed in your favorite art or sport practice.

Let your creativity flow freely by focusing on specific activities or letting your imagination loose. For instance, start learning a new art or craft; don’t try to be perfect, just let your inspiration run through your hands and be ready to be surprised.

In order to open our third eye abilities, we need to first land both our feet on the ground. Also note the importance of opening up gradually, building reliable foundations first that will allow you to have proper discernment and interpret your extrasensory perceptions with as much clarity as possible.

Affirmations to balance Solar Plexus Chakra

What happens when the crown chakra is imbalanced

A disbelief in anything spiritual and being disconnected to the universe in general.

On the opposite side, an overactive crown chakra could manifest as a being disconnected from your body and earthly matters. Obsessive attachment to spiritual matters.

    Opening the Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is a very important chakra that helps the other six chakras stay open, however, it is just as important to note that you must balance your root chakra before attempting to balance your crown chakra as you need a good foundation to remain grounded. Be sure to work through all your chakras as well beginning with the root chakra and working to the crown chakra to help stimulate energy flow and harmony.

Connect to your inner self through yoga, meditation and contemplation.

    Pet Chakra

    Key characteristics:

Reiki is an incredible alternative treatment for pets who may get easily stressed, have chronic illnesses and/or chronic pain, and can even be a combined therapy to other alternative treatments. I believe that we should listen to our intuitions. I deeply hold the belief that animals have their own intuitive sense of what they need. The more injured or in pain the animal is, the more the animal will be ready to accept reiki healing because of the instant relaxation it brings to them. I have seen senior pets become completely engulfed and in love with the reiki energy.

The animal chakra systems are very similar to humans energy systesms - we both have Aura’s snf the color schemes are also similar. In four-legged animals the main difference is that the alignment and chakra positions are often horizontal instead of vertical.

Animal energy field is usually much wider than in humans due to their heightened natural survival instinct, the aura tends to absorb much more sensory information than humans. They receive and distribute energy through each chakra individually, which makes them sensitive to more subtle vibrations and and changes within the atmosphere or environment. also emits different color vibrations depending on the shape and intensity of the energy in each centre.

Energy healing can greatly benefit any animal. Similar to the human energy system, when an animal chakra is blocked or has insufficient energy then the system becomes imbalanced. This can eventually result in behavioral and emotional issues, or physical disease in the area connected to the chakra. Similar methods and techniques for healing chakra imbalances in humans, can also be used on animals to restore balance and prevent or assist in healing related issues.

    Earth's Chakra

    Key characteristics:

Earth chakras are physical locations super-charged with energy that help to keep the planet and all life on it in balance. Depending on who you ask, there are more than 150 recognized earth chakras located within and on the surface the earth — from deep within the sea and rocks to mountain tops and valleys. These positive and negative energy vortices can offer feminine-, masculine- or neutral-based energy.

Our chakras stretch from the base of the spine to the crown of the head and are connected through a current of power that flows between them. Similarly, earth chakras, or energy vortices, are connected via a web of ley lines that create an energy field.

There are seven major locations that are widely accepted as high energy spots on earth. According to the earth chakras map, here is each location, its chakra correspondence and a brief description.

    • Mt. Shasta, California in the United States – 1st chakra (root) – Considered the energy “base”; the primal source of universal life force and regulates the flow of energy from the earth to life forms, including humans.

    • Lake Titicaca, traverses the border between Bolivia and Peru – 2nd chakra (sacral) – Often represented by serpent imagery, it’s located in the midst of multiple ley lines and is where primal energy takes form and matures.

    • Ayers Rock, also known as Uluru, Australia – 3rd chakra (solar plexus) – Uluru is representative of the emotional solar plexus and depicted as the “umbilical chord” supplying energy to all living things.

    • Shaftesbury, Dorset and Glastonbury, Somerset, England – 4th chakra (heart)—These locations share the designation of being the center of the earth’s heart and are known for their intense energy production.

    • The Great Pyramids, Middle East – 5th chakra (throat) – Positioned between Mt. Sinai and Mt. Olives, this chakra is the “voice of the Earth.”

    • Aeon activation currently located in Glastonbury, England – 6th chakra (pineal gland or Third Eye) – A transitory site that opens energy portals and facilitates the flow of dimensional energy from one realm to another. Similar to the function of the human pineal gland, this earth chakra falls outside the ley line realm and only stays in a single location for 150 to 200 years.

    • Mt. Kailas, Tibet – 7th chakra (crown) – Located in the Himalayas, the sacred mountain is the center of the earth’s crown chakra and helps individuals find their footing on their spiritual journey and connect with the Divine.
